Where to store your jewelry?

As I already mentioned in some earlier posts, I really love costume jewelry. I developed this love (read: obsession) while working as an intern at probably worlds most amazing high fashion jewelry company - Erickson Beamon (Showroom Seven NY). You can read my wonderful experience of working there here.

I own a lot of jewelry and until recently I have been storing it in a number of various decorative boxes while most valuable pieces (which are also gifts and great memories) I keep securely locked.

 Since I learned that I will soon be moving to another country, I have started collecting various storage boxes and even making my own DIY solutions for storing my seasonal clothing pieces, hats, other accessories and lastly jewelry. Jewelry storages I am sharing with you today are actually a great buy and not really a creative DIY solutions, but since some of you requested more DIY posts, I will be soon sharing my "traveling with style", moving and apartment storage DIY tips with you in upcoming post series.

So lets jump to the point, I got the bellow two amazing jewelry storage boxes from JYSK store in Zagreb  (this is a Danish company I think, which has store locations all over Europe so you can check out their site to see if they are located near your neighborhood). Here is the list of their stores in Croatia.

I went to JYSK store to get this white metal jewelry stand (price: 89,95 hrk) which fits lovely in my shabby-chic decorated apartment but then I also got this see-through box (99 hrk) for my smaller jewelry.

Once I arranged part of my jewelry on these, I realized that I have much more jewelry left, so I am planning to get another see-through box for my make up and then another but this time silver metal stand for rings (price: 59,95 kn).

Ladies, this is not a sponsored post, I was just thrilled to finally resolve my jewelry storing problem and thought I should share it with you all. How do you store your jewelry lovelies? If you have any DIY ideas, please do share! :)

I would rather go naked....

..then not to wear my jewelry and heels. Here I am not talking about costume jewelry which I used to wear piece at the time over dark dresses to showcase it more while I interned in Showroom Seven where amazingly creative Karen Erickson worked on designing her jewelry.
My lifestyle and work environment has changed significantly with my move back to Europe. From working in a NYC's fashion industry to Croatian office of multinational company consumer goods PR position, my jewelry and the way of dressing transitioned from high fashion to classic preppy Ralph Lauren. With finally settling as being mostly casual, mood and work dependant mix of RL pieces which I wear on my formal work days, up to rock&rollish and warm color silks, satins to finally feminine dresses for the evening.

All listed, most of the times I wear decorated with my favorite, usually yellow and white gold jewelry pieces most of which are very personal, sometimes spiritual and quite discreet. Each piece has a memory, a story locked inside of it, which comes out with every compliment someone gives me on the account of my interesting jewelry pieces.

Here is my inspirational board for this post.

“For those of you in the cheap seats I'd like you to clap your hands to this one;
 the rest of you can just rattle your jewelry!”
