Basso & Brooke are bringing the colors of Siberia to Zagreb!

I was thrilled to hear that british-brazilian designer duo Basso & Brooke are coming to Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb! These two first met in London nightclub and are pilling up successes ever since launching their line in 2003. After winning the London's Fashion Fringe Award in 2004. the signed a production and distribution deal with Aeffe and then joined London Fashion week a year later. They are known by their wild graphic print.

Their latest SS 2012. showed on London Fashion Week this year is inspired by Brazilian half of the brand duo – Bruno Basso’s trip to Siberia where he drove from London. The collection features strong structures and contrasts, bright tropical prints (digital power print is their signature strength) which they further evolved it pulling the inspiration from the journey to Siberia.

Colors of the print are representing different periods of the day gradually focusing our view onto clothes itself and the way it is tailored and structured.

My favorite pieces are long maxi dresses with deep V cut on the back, gorgeous pencil skirts and lovely perfectly tailored blazers.

Bellow you can view the collection videos in two parts, film was directed by Thiago Jenne, modeled by Laura  Paine and styled by Jose Camarano, while beauty part was done by Lucio Flajore in August 2011. In London.

The duo has teamed up with Turning Leaf Wines as part of their ‘Designers in Residence’ programme. As part of this collaboration, the design due has created a very small number of limited edition umbrellas, while later in the year based on this success they launched a limited edition wine bottle labels.
